Every Governing Body must have a clerk. Clerks are more than just minute takers and are there to support your Governing Body in a range of ways
including
- managing your membership and vacancies (often in conjunction but not always with the Local Authority)
- supporting the election of Chairs and Vice Chairs
- offering advice on procedure and legislation
- advising on note taking
As a trained Clerk Fiona can
- offer mentoring and or coaching to you or your clerk
- give advice on the quality assurance of minutes
- help Governors manage meetings effectively
- 'model' clerking
- help you find a clerk
I was thrilled to reach the final of the NGA Outstanding Clerk of the year and to be one of 5 clerks invited to the House of Commons in September
2017.
